政策

The established full-time administrative positions of 学院 shall include the following:  Executive Staff (Vice Presidents), Deans, Associate Deans, 和 Directors.

The college’s administration shall be structured in such a way that all administrators are able to carry out their essential responsibilities of providing effective leadership 和 support in the planning, implementation, 和 evaluation of District objectives, creating a stimulating environment for learning, effectively using District resources to achieve objectives; recruitment, supervising, training 和 evaluating personnel, 和 contributing to the development 和 improvement of District programs 和 services. 

In carrying out their essential responsibilities, administrators are expected to uphold the highest st和ards of competence, ethics, 和 integrity, to respect individual differences, to provide for human dignity 和 privacy, 和 be guided by the elements 正当程序.

The President shall develop 和 maintain a college administration whose members: 

  1. Carry out the policies of the college district,
  2. Perform their duties as outlined in approved job descriptions,
  3. Perform their duties in conformance with college district regulations 和 procedures, 和
  4. Perform their duties in support of the college’s mission, vision, 和 values.

Any individual employed either full- or part-time by 学院 who performs administrative functions at least fifty (50%) percent or more of his/her assignment 和/or has responsibility to hire, dismiss, or discipline other employees, or who is responsible for developing 和 administering a budget, shall be classified as an exempt administrative employee.

It is the responsibility of the President to:

Communicate to  学院’s Executive Staff (Vice Presidents), through specific goals 和 objectives, what is expected of them in relation to their responsibilities, 和

Specify, in writing, each Vice President's organizational position 和 responsibilities within the administrative structure of 学院.

In turn, it is the responsibility of the Vice Presidents to communicate to their subordinate administrators, through specific goals 和 objectives, what is expected of them in relation to their responsibilities, 和 specify, in writing, each subordinate administrator's organizational position 和 responsibilities within the administrative structure of 学院.

All administrators have the following broad, general duties 和 responsibilities in 常见的:

  1. Implement College policies 和 programs accurately 和 constructively.
  2. Fulfill 学院's obligations under Negotiated Agreements with employee groups.
  3. Plan 和 carry out affirmative action programs which promote equal opportunity.
  4. Plan, organize, 和 administer the activities of their office or division.
  5. Be kept informed of new developments relating to their area of responsibility 和 to maintain a positive attitude toward change in order to improve the operations of 她/他的单位.
  6. Recommend the organizational structure, staffing complement, 和 necessary changes in the administrator's area of responsibility.
  7. Utilize adopted selection processes to identify 和 recommend personnel within the administrator's area of responsibility.
  8. Evaluate services 和 personnel in the administrator's area of responsibility.
  9. Encourage professional development of personnel.
  10. Maintain effective communication with the administrator's 直接主管.
  11. Promote an integrated effort in administration through cooperation with other administrators.
  12. Promote effective relationships with faculty, staff, students, members of the community, 和 other educational institutions.
  13. Develop, recommend, 和 administer the budget for the administrator's area of responsibility.
  14. Serve on committees 和 councils as directed by the President or the Administrator's 直接主管.
  15. Perform any other duties assigned by the Administrator's 直接主管.
