A professor may initiate a No Show Withdrawal for a student based on non-participation, between the second and seventh instructional day.

目的

Spaces in 类 go unused when students decide not to attend a class but fail to complete an official withdrawal from the class. The class rosters should accurately reflect the students that are participating in the class.

To Whom Does This 政策 Apply

To students registered in graded, quarter-length, credit 类 who fail to participate by the second instructional day and up to the seventh instructional day and who fail to make arrangements 和教授一起. The policy does not apply to 类 with non-standard start times such as intensives, late starting, or continuous enrollment 类. This policy does not apply to reserve military students covered under RCW 28B.10.270, due to being activated or active duty soldiers that have received orders to deploy or assigned temporary duty (TDY).

LMS: Learning Management System

同时: For online courses, the student did not complete a graded or not graded submission 赋值(e.g. discussion, quiz, or assignment in the LMS); by the second instructional day and up to the seventh instructional day and they fail to make arrangements with 教授. For hybrid courses, the student did not attend in person or complete a graded or not graded submission 赋值(e.g. discussion, quiz, or assignment in LMS), by the second instructional day and up to the seventh instructional day and they fail to make arrangements 和教授一起.

For in person and web enhanced courses, the student did not attend class by the second instructional day and up to the seventh instructional day and they fail to make arrangements 和教授一起.

No Show Withdrawal: A professor-initiated withdrawal that cancels a student's registration in the class. From the second instructional day and up to the seventh instructional day, it will be up to 教授's discretion when to initiate the withdrawal.

完整的在线: 100% of course material, assessment, instruction, and student interaction completed using the Internet, LMS, or other communication technologies.

混合: Courses that blend face-to-face and online learning environments.

过程

Professors are advised to review their class rosters during the initial days of the quarter in order to determine if there are students who are on the class roster who are not participating. Professors will submit the names of students who are considered to be "no shows" to the 注册服务 Office no later than the seventh instructional 季度日. No Show Withdrawal submissions will be processed by the 招收ment Services Office as they are received during the first seven instructional days of 本季度. Students who never show and who are not submitted through the No Show Withdrawal process will be subject to a "Z" grade if they do not complete an official withdrawal from the class.
